Mildred- Handmade Filled "Junk Journal"/JoyFull Book - Medium Sized
This little mini handmade book has 3 signatures with 3-4 sheets—making it approx 36-40ish pages total. However, hearing a page count isn’t really the best way to describe the pages in this journal. There are numerous pockets, flips, folds, journaling spots, and more! I try make the book and ephemera out of things that I am recycling as much as possible—as there’s so much cardboard, card stock, and paper waste with everything that I tend to hold onto all of it, wanting to give it a new life. I feel like journals themselves get to represent snippets of your life as well!
It would be silly to photograph everything so instead, I have a flip-through recorded on my youtube channel! This is the first book in this video that I flipped through.
Included is handmade ephemera such as a specimen card, hidden paperclip, envelopes, faux stamps, and more!
I LOVE books that feel like an adventure—where there’s something new to be found every time you flip the page, with something hidden, tucked, or layered in between, but as a writer, I still want plenty of space to actually journal—so I always make sure of that first!
